So what is Distant or Absent Healing? This is healing sent by the practitioner to the recipient without them being present.

How does that work? you may well ask. Well if you didn’t know already your thoughts are a very powerful thing. Whether your thoughts are negative, positive or what you dream you would like, each thought is made of energy and energy is a very real thing. As previously mentioned everything is made of energy even inanimate objects. So be very careful what you think and what you wish for!

So what has this got to do with distant/absent healing, I hear you ask. Well that is in effect how the Spiritual healing is sent to the absent recipient. Time is set aside by the healer to send healing thoughts. This sort of healing can travel around the world. There has been some very profound healing done in this way. The healing becomes more powerful if the recipient is expecting the healing and also sets time aside to coincide with the healing thoughts being sent. However this is not absolutely essential as the healing will still hit the spot.

With Reiki the same principle applies but the healer will use symbols to connect with the absent recipient and go through the motions of doing a full body healing on the absent person, sometimes using a doll to represent the person.

So if you are unable to attend a healing session yourself, for whatever reason, ask for distant or absent healing to be sent. Or if you know someone who needs healing you can ask on their behalf.
