Everyone is different. The experiences of one person may not compare with another. You may have a friend that has experienced Reiki. If you ask what it felt like and then you go yourself and don’t experience the same thing, don’t be disappointed. Whatever you felt was right for you and if you go again, the experience may be completely different.

So what are you likely to feel. Well some people will feel heat, others cold, yet others may feel very sleepy and in-fact may even fall asleep. There are some people that don’t feel anything at all. Someone once said to me that although they knew that I had moved my hands from their shoulders, they could still feel a hand on the spot throughout the healing. (Their problem was in the upper arm). So you see no two people will tell you the same.

Whatever your experience, you should come away feeling relaxed and uplifted. If you don’t it could be that the healer is not right for you or the worse scenario that they are not a healer. I have known of people who say they are healers but are using their own energy. By doing this they will become exhausted very quickly and sometimes take on the problems presented by their client.

A true healer is a channel for the Universal Life Force Energy or God Energy and whilst giving healing are in-fact receiving healing themselves. So it doesn’t matter how many healings they give in a day or week, they will never become exhausted. Remember healing is a gift and not something that can be forced or pretended to exist within the healer.

Reiki is not a miracle cure, although this has been known. Reiki will compliment conventional medicine, it is not there to replace it. NEVER stop taking the medication you have been prescribed by your medical practitioner unless told to do so by them. A Reiki Practitioner should NEVER ask you to stop taking your medication. Always tell your G.P that you’re receiving healing.
