Spiritual Healing can be looked at from several different perspectives; to a priest, spiritual healing come from God; to a scientist, spiritual healing is a measurable phenomenon of altered brain wave patterns; to a nurse it might be therapeutic touch; and to a patient it might be a slim straw to grasp at.

Spiritual Healing itself is very simple and straight forward. In fact it is easier to practise than describe, since the experience speaks for itself and there is no problem then with language.

It has been said by Dr. Alex Forbes ‘Spiritual Healing reaches the parts that other therapies can not reach’ and Canon Christopher Pilkington, co-founder of the Bristol Cancer Help Centre, explains ‘ It is spiritual in the sense that it reaches down to the spiritual roots of the personality’. The aim of Spiritual Healing is that it should be total healing.

For many people the very words ‘Spiritual healing’ smack of weird goings on. Spiritual healing much like Reiki uses the life force energy. We are all made of energy, whether plant, animal, rock or human. The only difference is that all these energies vibrate at a different rate. That is why a rock looks solid and still. It’s energy vibration is so slow in comparison to ours as humans that it appears to do nothing, but it is just as alive as you are. With our life force energy, life would not exist. The human life force is know as the spirit or the soul, which continues after our physical death. Spiritual healers connect with this life force, having a spirit guide to help the flow of energy into the recipient.

Spiritual healing not only helps to heal the physical dis-ease, but also helps to heal the whole mind, body and spirit. As with Reiki, Spiritual Healing compliments conventional medicine and is not meant to replace it. Always tell your G.P. that you are receiving Spiritual Healing.

Spiritual Healing and Reiki are also very good for healing animals. Because they are non-invasive and do not need for the animal to be touched. They are very good for helping to aid recovery after an operation or illness. But again you must inform your veterinary practice that your animal is receiving healing.
