I have noticed that ‘what does the healer feel when giving healing?’ seems to be a question that crops up alot. Well I can’t speak for everyone as each healer will experience something different. Quite often the healer will have a different experience everytime a healing session takes place. Whilst yet others will have the same experience every time.
I can only describe to you the experience that I usually have. After connecting with the healing energies, I will feel a mild tingling in the palms of my hands and the feeling of heat being generated from them. The top of my head tingles, I call it my woolly hat. It is a very pleasant feeling. Quite often my whole body feels very hot. This gives me the feeling that my whole body is radiating the energies.
What I feel is not the same as what the patient/client feels. Their experience can be very different. I have given Reiki/Energy healing to a complete sceptic, who before the session began was of the opinion that they would feel nothing and the whole Reiki/Energy healing thing was just a placebo effect. That person came away having felt the energies very strongly and was totally convinced that there was something in it after all.
I’m sure if you spoke to other healers they would give you a different view on what they experience, but I can only speak for myself. For those of you who have asked this question, I hope this will help.
